Obsidian

Obsidian is a naturally occurring volcanic glass formed when lava cools rapidly. It is usually black but can also be found in other colors, including brown, green, and even rainbow-like patterns.

Obsidian is believed to be a powerful protective stone, shielding against negativity and psychic attacks. It is also known for its grounding properties and ability to bring hidden emotions to the surface.

Obsidian is primarily associated with the Root Chakra, which is linked to grounding, stability, and security.

With a Mohs hardness of about 5 to 5.5, Obsidian is relatively durable but should be handled with care to prevent scratches and chips.

Obsidian can be cleansed with running water or by placing it in a bowl of sea salt. To charge it, place it under moonlight or sunlight, or near a Clear Quartz crystal.
